1990 Volkswagen Golf GL

This is the kind of car I always used to love to find. Mechanically sound, structurally sound, decent paint but just needs a few jobs finishing to make it even better “hence price.”

The paint isn’t going to win any shows, but it’s presentable enough.

The stance and the chonky banded steelies with stretched rubber will definitely win you some hearts!

First of all, your fun job list:

There is no headliner
The dash is missing some screws etc (can be squeaky)
The temp gauge doesn’t work
The odometer recently stopped counting
Passenger front door handle is broken - new one included
Has a MK4 header tank in it, its fine but a proper MK2 would be better as the cap releases a little dribble now and then
The air box is just sort of rested on, wants a k&n ideally


And the bits you don’t need to worry about:

Had a cam belt 12 months ago
Clutch is brand new
Replacement gearbox
Power steering works lovely
The seats and door cards are mint and slightly unusual as they came out of a German "S" spec MK2
Not long had front pads fitted


At this point, I’ve left it as it sits to be able to offer it to you at a lower than market value price.

I imagine it will be snapped up, otherwise I will address the snag list and sell it for ten million dollars.
